Meet Dr. Anderson! A native of Central Iowa, he proudly earned his veterinary doctorate degree from Iowa State University’s College of Veterinary Medicine in 2019. During his college years, he had the opportunity to intern at the Omaha Zoo and embark on two unforgettable journeys to South Africa, where he experienced working with a diverse range of species.
Dr. Anderson is passionate about soft tissue surgery, dentistry, preventative medicine, as well as building connections with clients and their beloved furry companions. His commitment to providing comprehensive care reflects his dedication to the well-being of pet families.
At home, Dr. Anderson and family share their space with three feline companions- Clem(a local celebrity), Kip, and Posh. Looking ahead, he dreams of someday expanding his pet family to include a Basset Hound and Golden Retriever. His unwavering commitment to providing comprehensive care to his patients and building lasting relationships with their families is a testament to his passion for veterinary medicine.
Dr. Berry

Dr. Berry received her doctorate of veterinary medicine from Kansas State University in 2007. She practiced in Texas and Indiana before joining Ralston Vet in August 2010.
She is a Nebraska native and grew up in the Omaha area. Her professional interests include Ultrasound diagnostic imaging, dentistry, oral surgery and preventative care.
Dr. Berry is married and has 3 young sons. She has 2 Boxer mixes named Finnegan and Chewbacca Stinkyfeet. Dr. Berry is an avid Husker Volleyball fan. She enjoys scrapbooking and spending time with family.
Dr. Burbach
Dr. Burbach
Dr. Burbach is a highly skilled veterinarian who graduated from the College of Veterinary Medicine at Iowa State University in 2001. She has over 10 years of experience in veterinary medicine, including six years of practice in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. Dr. Burbach joined Ralston Vet in 2007, bringing with her a wealth of knowledge and expertise. Her passion for internal medicine and dedication to her patient’s well-being is evident in the care she provides. Dr. Burbach works closely with her colleagues to offer comprehensive care to her patients and their families. She takes great pride in positively impacting the lives of her patients and their human companions.
When she’s not at the clinic, Dr. Burbach enjoys indulging in her love of horses and dogs. She loves riding her Quarter Horses and showing dogs in obedience and agility competitions. Gardening is another one of her interests. She has a furry family that includes Pip, her Dalmatian, Cassie, her Golden Retriever, and her Quarter Horses, Emma and Millie.
At Ralston Vet, Dr. Burbach’s expertise and genuine affection for her patients make her an invaluable member of the team. She is committed to ensuring that every pet receives outstanding care from a dedicated professional.
Dr. Forgey
Dr. Amanda Forgey
Dr. Amanda Forgey has just joined Ralston Vet in 2025, bringing 7 years of clinical experience and a passion for surgery, ophthalmology, and collaborative patient care. A graduate of the Iowa State University College of Veterinary Medicine, she most recently completed a rotating internship at BluePearl Pet Hospital in Overland Park, Kansas, gaining advanced experience in internal medicine, surgery, emergency care, cardiology, and critical care.
Dr. Forgey thrives on tackling challenging cases and delivering a high level of hands-on care. Her calm, driven approach is backed by surgical experience, including soft tissue and orthopedic procedures, and a deep commitment to staying at the forefront of veterinary medicine.
In her free time, she’s an accomplished athlete and competitor in slow-pitch softball and canine agility. She shares her home with three beloved dogs and enjoys traveling, weightlifting, painting, and learning a new language... Japanese is next!

Dr. Meyer

Dr. Meyer is a skilled and compassionate veterinarian who grew up in Wichita, KS, and developed a passion for animal care at an early age. He graduated from Kansas State University Veterinary School in 2012 and has been providing exceptional veterinary care ever since. Dr. Meyer’s professional interests include dentistry, soft tissue surgery, emergency/critical care, and internal medicine, and he is always eager to learn new techniques and strategies to provide the best care for his patients.
One of Dr. Meyer’s greatest strengths is his ability to form strong relationships with his patients and their parents. He takes the time to listen to their concerns and answer any questions they may have, ensuring that they feel confident and well-informed about their pets’ care. His easy-going and outgoing personality makes him a favorite among his clients, who appreciate his dedication to providing the best possible care for their furry friends.
Dr. Parkening
Dr. Eryn Parkening, DVM
Dr. Parkening has always loved medicine, and prefers pets. As she puts it: “Pets are perfect, and dogs will never judge you for being awkward.”
After earning her veterinary degree from Kansas State University in 2011, Dr. Parkening began her career in mixed animal practice, then focused on small animal medicine for five years in Lincoln. She joined Ralston Vet in 2018 and quickly became known for her teamwork, surgical precision, and ability to make even the most anxious pet parent laugh.
She especially enjoys soft tissue surgery and orthopedics, where her hands-on approach can transform a pet’s comfort and mobility. Clients describe her as down to earth, attentive, “always awesome,” and “the one who made everything feel okay.”
At home, Dr. Parkening enjoys coffee shop afternoons, game nights, and quality time with her husband and daughter. She’s a midday person (not too early, not too late), a fan of The Office, and believes cats who growl while they eat are comedy gold.
Dr. White
Dr. Steve White
Dr. White has known he wanted to be a veterinarian since he was a kid, and after more than three decades in the field, he’s still doing exactly what he loves: helping pets feel better and helping families feel heard.
A 1992 graduate of the University of Illinois College of Veterinary Medicine, Dr. White has been practicing in Nebraska ever since. He’s become a trusted and respected presence in the local veterinary community, known for his steady approach and deep clinical experience. He began his career in equine medicine before transitioning to small animal care, in addition to routine care he enjoys focusing on surgery, including both soft tissue and orthopedic procedures.
Whether he’s talking gently to an anxious dog or explaining a care plan to a concerned client, Dr. White brings a calm energy that helps everyone in the room feel a little more at ease. Clients often say their pets seem unusually relaxed around him, and that they leave appointments knowing they’ve been cared for.
At home, Dr. White lives on a small farm with a pack that includes dogs, cats, chickens, goats, and donkeys. He unwinds on the porch with a book or heads out for a quiet day of fishing. He’s a converted morning person, a fan of winter and Christmas lights, and yes... he’ll absolutely sing along if “Love Shack” comes on the radio.
Dr. Witzel
Dr. Witzel
Dr. Witzel is a highly qualified professional who graduated from Ohio State University in 1989. She worked as a practitioner in the Chicago area for almost 18 years, where she gained extensive experience and expertise in her field. Her dedication to her work and her ability to handle complex scenarios with ease made her an invaluable asset to her team.
In February 2008, Dr. Witzel successfully persuaded her husband to move back to her hometown of Omaha, where she had grown up. Although she now admits to missing Lake Michigan, she loves being back in her hometown.
She enjoys German shepherds. They are such intelligent and loyal dogs.
Apart from being a dedicated practitioner, Dr. Witzel is also an avid gardener who loves spending time tending to her plants. She also enjoys going to the beach for vacations where she can relax and unwind.
Dr. Witzel is an impressive and well-rounded professional who has dedicated her life to helping people. Her passion for her work is evident in everything she does, and her commitment to excellence is unparalleled.
Dr. Wolter
Dr. Cary Wolter, DVM
For Dr. Cary Wolter, veterinary medicine has always been personal. Raised on an Iowa acreage, she saw firsthand the trust between a family and their vet, and knew she wanted to build those same relationships herself.
After earning her Bachelor of Science from Creighton University, Dr. Wolter went on to graduate from Iowa State University’s College of Veterinary Medicine in 2013. Today, she’s a key member of the Ralston Vet team, known for her collaborative approach and steady compassion. Clients appreciate her gentle manner, especially with nervous pets, and her belief that great care starts with honest conversation and mutual trust.
Her clinical interests include preventive care, dermatology, dentistry, and nutrition-focused support, always with the goal of keeping pets happy, healthy, and comfortable for the long haul.
At home, Dr. Wolter’s world is filled with family: her husband, kids, two horses, a French bulldog, and a chill housecat. In her time away, she recharges by spending time with her horses, reading, and dreaming of cool Fall weather.

Dr. Blake Tunnard, DVM – Medical Director
From caring for LSU’s live tiger mascot in vet school to mentoring veterinarians today, Dr. Blake Tunnard’s career has been anything but typical, and exactly the kind of steady, thoughtful leadership you want for your pet’s care.
Blake joined Ralston Vet in 2023 after nearly two decades practicing in Las Vegas, where he developed his expertise in radiology, dentistry, surgery, and client education. He’s passionate about practicing medicine to the highest AAHA standards and believes deeply in collaboration, with pets, pet parents, and the next generation of veterinary professionals.
Clients trust him for his honesty and his ability to explain things clearly, like why those daily treats may be doing more harm than good. He shows up with clinical skill and calm energy, helping pets feel at ease and families feel confident.
Outside the clinic, Dr. Tunnard is a proud husband & dad, who enjoys his extended family - two dogs, a cat, and close-knit friendships that stretch back to elementary school. He’s a morning person, a puzzle guy, a baseball coach, and a Thanksgiving traditionalist (food, football, no gifts—just how he likes it).
