Dr. Anderson

Meet Dr. Anderson! A native of Central Iowa, he proudly earned his veterinary doctorate degree from Iowa State University’s College of Veterinary Medicine in 2019. During his college years, he had the opportunity to intern at the Omaha Zoo and embark on two unforgettable journeys to South Africa, where he experienced working with a diverse range of species.

Dr. Anderson is passionate about soft tissue surgery, dentistry, preventative medicine, as well as building connections with clients and their beloved furry companions. His commitment to providing comprehensive care reflects his dedication to the well-being of pet families.

At home, Dr. Anderson and family share their space with three feline companions- Clem(a local celebrity), Kip, and Posh. Looking ahead, he dreams of someday expanding his pet family to include a Basset Hound and Golden Retriever. His unwavering commitment to providing comprehensive care to his patients and building lasting relationships with their families is a testament to his passion for veterinary medicine.

Dr. Berry

Dr. Berry received her doctorate of veterinary medicine from Kansas State University in 2007. She practiced in Texas and Indiana before joining Ralston Vet in August 2010.

She is a Nebraska native and grew up in the Omaha area. Her professional interests include Ultrasound diagnostic imaging, dentistry, oral surgery and preventative care.

Dr. Berry is married and has 3 young sons. She has 2 Boxer mixes named Finnegan and Chewbacca Stinkyfeet. Dr. Berry is an avid Husker Volleyball fan. She enjoys scrapbooking and spending time with family.

Dr. Burbach

Dr. Burbach is a highly skilled veterinarian who graduated from the College of Veterinary Medicine at Iowa State University in 2001. She has over 10 years of experience in veterinary medicine, including six years of practice in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. Dr. Burbach joined Ralston Vet in 2007, bringing with her a wealth of knowledge and expertise. Her passion for internal medicine and dedication to her patient’s well-being is evident in the care she provides. Dr. Burbach works closely with her colleagues to offer comprehensive care to her patients and their families. She takes great pride in positively impacting the lives of her patients and their human companions.

When she’s not at the clinic, Dr. Burbach enjoys indulging in her love of horses and dogs. She loves riding her Quarter Horses and showing dogs in obedience and agility competitions. Gardening is another one of her interests. She has a furry family that includes Pip, her Dalmatian, Cassie, her Golden Retriever, and her Quarter Horses, Emma and Millie.

At Ralston Vet, Dr. Burbach’s expertise and genuine affection for her patients make her an invaluable member of the team. She is committed to ensuring that every pet receives outstanding care from a dedicated professional.

Dr. Demyan

Dr. Demyan is a highly skilled and compassionate veterinarian who graduated from Colorado State University’s College of Veterinary Medicine in 2014. With a special interest in internal medicine, preventative care, and emergency medicine, she has been providing exceptional care to pets in her community for several years now.

In addition to her impressive credentials, Dr. Demyan is also certified in medical acupuncture, which allows her to provide an enhanced level of care to her patients. Her favorite part about being a veterinarian is getting to know each pet and its owner and sharing in their special human-animal bond. This relationship is what drives her passion for veterinary medicine and motivates her to provide the best care possible.

Outside of work, Dr. Demyan enjoys spending time with her husband, Dave, her daughter, Addy, and their lovable Labrador named Fezzik. She is an active person who enjoys playing sports and spending time outdoors, whether it’s hiking in the mountains or lounging on the beach. Her dedication to her patients and her love for animals is truly inspiring, and she is a true asset to the veterinary community.

Dr. Meyer

Dr. Meyer is a skilled and compassionate veterinarian who grew up in Wichita, KS, and developed a passion for animal care at an early age. He graduated from Kansas State University Veterinary School in 2012 and has been providing exceptional veterinary care ever since. Dr. Meyer’s professional interests include dentistry, soft tissue surgery, emergency/critical care, and internal medicine, and he is always eager to learn new techniques and strategies to provide the best care for his patients.

Dr. Parkening

Dr. Parkening spent her childhood in different parts of the United States due to her family’s military background. She earned her DVM degree from Kansas State University in 2011 and began her career as a mixed animal practitioner.

After practicing small animal medicine for five years in Lincoln, Nebraska, Dr. Parkening joined the Ralston Vet team in 2018. She is highly knowledgeable and has a particular interest in soft tissue surgery and orthopedics, which enables her to provide exceptional care to all clients.

In her free time, Dr. Parkening enjoys spending time with her cat Clambake, meeting friends for coffee, participating in church activities, and game nights. Despite her busy schedule as a veterinarian, she always finds time to spend with her family. She is a proud mother to her daughter and loves spending time with her and her husband, whether they’re exploring the outdoors or reading together at home. Dr. Parkening attributes her success to her family’s unwavering love and support.

Dr. White

Dr. White is an experienced veterinarian who graduated from the University of Illinois College of Veterinary Medicine in 1992. He has been practicing veterinary medicine in Nebraska for over two decades now, and he has become a respected and trusted member of the local veterinary community.

Dr. White's experience in the field of veterinary medicine spans over 20 years, with a primary focus on equine medicine and surgery. However, he transitioned to small animal medicine and surgery to gain a broader perspective on veterinary care. He enjoys performing various surgical procedures, including soft-tissue and orthopedic surgeries. Dr. White takes pride in staying up-to-date with the latest veterinary medical knowledge and technology, which enables him to provide the best possible care for his patients.

Apart from his passion for veterinary medicine, Dr. White is an avid outdoor enthusiast. He enjoys various outdoor activities such as canoeing, camping, and fishing, which allows him to appreciate and connect with nature. When he's not outdoors, he can be found with his nose buried in a book or spending quality time with his family.

Dr. White is not only a skilled veterinary professional but also a compassionate and dedicated individual who goes above and beyond to ensure the health and wellbeing of his patients. He is a valuable asset to the veterinary community in Nebraska and is highly respected by his peers and patients alike.

Dr. Witzel

Dr. Witzel is a highly qualified professional who graduated from Ohio State University in 1989. She worked as a practitioner in the Chicago area for almost 18 years, where she gained extensive experience and expertise in her field. Her dedication to her work and her ability to handle complex scenarios with ease made her an invaluable asset to her team.

In February 2008, Dr. Witzel successfully persuaded her husband to move back to her hometown of Omaha, where she had grown up. Although she now admits to missing Lake Michigan, she loves being back in her hometown.

She enjoys German shepherds. They are such intelligent and loyal dogs.

Apart from being a dedicated practitioner, Dr. Witzel is also an avid gardener who loves spending time tending to her plants. She also enjoys going to the beach for vacations where she can relax and unwind.

Dr. Witzel is an impressive and well-rounded professional who has dedicated her life to helping people. Her passion for her work is evident in everything she does, and her commitment to excellence is unparalleled.

Dr. Wolter

Meet Dr. Cary Wolter, a true Midwesterner and Iowa native. From childhood days spent riding horses, to caring for the family’s pets on a small acreage, her passion for animal care started early.

Dr. Wolter earned her Bachelor of Science from Creighton University and immersed herself in various veterinary roles before pursuing her doctorate dreams. A 2013 graduate of Iowa State University’s College of Veterinary Medicine, she’s been an invaluable member of the Council Bluffs-Omaha veterinary community. She brings a wealth of knowledge and dedication to her role at Ralston Vet and has committed to our promise of serving every family member, every time. Dr. Wolter a.k.a. Dr. Cary excels in providing patient-focused care and collaborating with pet families for the happiest and healthiest outcomes.

She enjoys a special focus on dentistry, dermatology, nutrition counseling, and long-term preventative care. Her genuine approach to personalized care and commitment to building enduring relationships shine through in every interaction.

Dr. Tunnard

Dr. Blake Tunnard brings a wealth of expertise and an understanding approach to his role as the Medical Director at Ralston Vet. He graduated from Louisiana State University School of Veterinary Medicine in 2004. Dr. Tunnard’s time in vet school was marked by the unique experience of caring for the LSU team’s tiger mascot. Before joining Ralston Vet in May of 2023, Dr. Tunnard practiced in Las Vegas, Nevada, for over 19 years. He takes pride in practicing medicine at AAHA-accredited hospitals and staying at the forefront of AAHA standards to ensure pets receive the best care possible. His professional interests include radiology, ultrasound, dentistry, and surgery.

Dr. Tunnard seamlessly joined the Ralston Vet family, bringing his dedication, skill, and personalized care to our practice. Pet parents recognize him for building trusting relationships with both themselves and their pets, Dr. Tunnard’s genuine care shines through in every interaction. A valued member of our team, Dr. Tunnard is committed to providing exceptional care for every family member who comes through our doors.

Outside the clinic, Dr. Tunnard enjoys time spent with his family, including his sweet four-legged companions. He enjoys being active and is a sports enthusiast, ready for the next golf season. We are proud to have him as part of our Ralston Vet Family.
