L. Berry, D.V.M

Dr. Berry received her doctorate of veterinary medicine from Kansas State University in 2007.  She practiced in Texas and Indiana before joining Ralston Vet in August 2010.   She is a Nebraska native and grew up in the Omaha area.  Her professional interests include Ultrasound diagnostic imaging, dentistry and preventative care.

Dr. Berry is married and has 3 young sons.   She has 2 Boxer mixes named Finnegan and Chewbacca Stinkyfeet.


T. Burbach, D.V.M

Dr. Burbach is a 2001 Iowa State University Graduate. She spent 6 years in Sioux Falls, South Dakota prior to starting at Ralston Veterinary Clinic in December 2007. Along with making sure her pets are well cared for, she enjoys the challenges of internal medicine and pet behavior.

Her family consists of her 6 pets, Dalmatians (Cordelia, Jaala and Pip), a cat (Frank), as well as her Quarter Horses (Emma and Millie). During Dr. Burbach’s free time, she enjoys riding Quarter Horses, showing dogs in obedience, agility and gardening.


M. Demyan, D.V.M, cVMA

Dr. Demyan is a 2014 graduate of Colorado State University’s College of Veterinary Medicine.   She has a special interest in internal medicine, preventative care and emergency medicine.  Dr. Demyan is cetified in medical acupuncture.  Her favorite part of being a Veterinarian is getting to know each pet and their owner and share their special human-animal bond.

In her free time Dr Demyan enjoys spending time with her husband, Dave and they have a Labrador named Fezzik.   She is active playing sports, enjoying the outdoors and spending time with family and friends.


Allan A. Erickson, D.V.M

Dr. Erickson started at Ralston Veterinary Clinic as a veterinary school intern and was hired in June 1976.  He has watched the Ralston Veterinary clinic evolve from a 4 doctor large and small animal practice to the 10 doctor primarily small animal practice it is today in our fantastic new hospital.

Dr. Erickson enjoys providing client education, doing orthopedic surgery and working on difficult internal medicine cases.  He enjoys seeing his many long time clients and their family pets.

Away from work he enjoys basketball, fishing, golf, and trips to the mountains.


N. B. Jernigan, D.V.M

Dr. Jernigan is one of the 1968 Ralston Vet founders and has dedicated his career to Ralston Vet's patients and clients.  When Douglas and Sarpy counties were considered rural Nebraska, he provided veterinary care to farm animals (cows, pigs, and horses).

As Omaha changed into a metropolitan area, so did his focus to dogs and cats.  He sees an occasional farm animal but has committed his veterinary services to providing care for companion animals.

He enjoys his family, friends, church community and travel when he is not practicing medicine.


C. Kennedy, D.V.M

Dr. Kennedy graduated from Iowa State University in 2015.   She grew up in Papillion, NE and is grateful for the opportunity to serve her community’s loving pets.  Her professional goals include establishing life-long relationships with clients and their pets, performing surgery & dental work, and working up internal medicine cases.

Dr. Kennedy spends most of her free time with her husband, son, energetic chocolate lab (Millie), and 2 cats (Autumn & Sophy).  Her hobbies include volleyball (sand & court), playing frisbee with her dog, cooking, baking, and gardening.


L. Mansfield, D.V.M - Retired

Dr. Mansfield began working at Ralston Veterinary Clinic in 1988.  Prior to veterinary medicine, she taught junior high English and Art in Bellevue in the 1970's.   With her teaching background, Dr. Mansfield communicates easily with her clients.  She enjoys treating and diagnosing her sick patients and providing wellness exams. This allows her to have interaction with her patients and clients.

Dr. Mansfield is very involved with the Nebraska Veterinary Medical Association.  She has helped plan numerous Continuing Education meetings and has served on the board.

When away from the clinic, Dr. Mansfield enjoys doing arts and crafts, reading, walking, camping in Colorado, and caring for her pets.


B. Witzel, D.V.M

Dr. Witzel graduated from Ohio State University in 1989.  She practiced in the Chicago area approximately 18 years.  In February of 2008, she successfully talked her husband into moving back here to her home town of Omaha (although now she does admit to missing Lake Michigan).  They brought with them their two dogs and two rabbits.  When not working, Dr. Witzel enjoys gardening, shopping and going to the beach.


C. Wolter, D.V.M

Dr. Cary Wolter was born and raised in southwest Iowa. As a child, she rode horses and took care of all the pets on her family's small acreage. After receiving her Bachelor of Science from Creighton University, she worked in various veterinary related positions until deciding to go back to school. Dr. Wolter is a 2013 graduate of Iowa State University's College of Veterinary Medicine. After working in a mixed animal veterinary position in Ohio, Dr. Wolter was offered an opportunity to move home and has been in the CB/Omaha area ever since. Dr. Wolter enjoys many aspects of veterinary medicine, especially dentistry, dermatology, nutrition counseling, and general preventative care. She currently has 3 pets: Brady, a Quarter Horse/Morgan cross gelding, Brinley, a Pit Bull Terrier, and Toes, a Domestic Short Hair cat.
